When in the kitchen I always go for simplicity and enjoyment. With my newest concoction I know I definitely hit the mark with both. This “chocolate carrot cake” smoothie is easy to make, nutritionally dense, and extremely delicious!
Carrots are one of my favorite veggies, and I think they serve as an excellent base for smoothies due to their sweet, rich taste and creamy composure—combined with the sweet taste of banana, raw chocolate, and a cup of green spinach, this smoothie is a nutritional powerhouse packed full of fiber, protein, and a host of vitamins and minerals all in under 250 calories—making it an excellent way to start your day, recover from an intense workout, or enjoy as a very nutritious dessert.
• 1 cup H20, or unsweetened plant milk of your choice
• 3 tbsp unsweetened chocolate powder, or 1 scoop plant-based chocolate protein
• 2 medium sized carrots
• 1 banana (fresh or frozen)
• 1 cup spinach
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy!
